What's in it
- The information architecture and the main paths through the site
- Designed templates for each type of page, on phones and large screens
- Interactive prototypes, used to test with users
- The components each template is made from, held in your design system
How it's made
It is produced by UX design and UI design working together. On a website project it is the Design phase. It starts once the content model and information architecture are agreed, so the templates fit the content you actually have. On a redesign, a website audit of the current site shows what to fix first.
We build interactive prototypes, test them with users and refine them, with accessibility and your brand checked at each round.
How you use it
Engineering builds the site from it, template by template. Before any code is written, your team can click through the prototypes and settle questions while changes are still quick to make.
Because it is designed in your design system, the pages you add after launch use the same parts and stay consistent with the rest of the site.
