UX design

Making it easy to use

We design the structure of your website or product and the routes people take through it, screen by screen. Each design is put in front of real users before it is built, so your decisions rest on what people actually do.

What it covers

The information architecture: what goes where and what it is called. The main paths people take, such as finding a service, making a donation or getting in touch. And the interactions on each screen: navigation, forms, search and filters.

On a website project, this work follows the content model. Design does not start until the model is agreed, because the structure has to fit the content you actually have.

How we work

We start from research: what your users need, and what the content audit says you have. We sketch the structure and the main paths, then turn them into interactive prototypes.

We test the prototypes with users, change what does not work and test again. UI design then takes the tested structure and gives it your brand.

What we need from you

  • Your content owner's time, because they know what the site has to say and to whom
  • Help finding users to test with: customers, supporters or staff, depending on who the site or product serves
  • A sponsor who can choose between options when testing does not settle the question
