Product design

A product people want to use

The flows, screens and interactions of your digital product, designed in detail and prototyped. Each flow is tested with the people who will use it, and our engineers review the designs as they take shape, so they can be built as drawn.

What's in it

  • The main flows through the product, from first use to the tasks people do every day
  • Designed screens for each step, including empty, loading and error states
  • Interactive prototypes used to test with users
  • Components that belong to your design system, ready for engineering

How it's made

UX design works out the flows and the structure. UI design gives each screen its detail and your brand. We usually begin with interviews with the people who will use the product, then prototype, test with them and refine.

Engineers are part of the work from the start, so questions about what can be built are answered while the design is still moving.

How you use it

Engineering builds the product from it, and it shapes the first release. As the product grows, new features are designed in the same system, so the product stays consistent from one release to the next.

Keep the prototypes. They are the quickest way to show a new colleague, a funder or your board how the product is meant to work.
