Fact layer: foundations
Who you are, what you do and who it's for, written once
FeedsFact layer: depth
Filling the fact layer in
We collect what your organisation knows from documents, systems and people, settle the places where sources disagree, and write each fact down once. Each level is usable as soon as it is done, so your team can start working from it before the next one begins.
Population fills in the structure agreed in the blueprint, in the order set by the roadmap. It produces the levels of your fact layer: the foundations, then the depth behind them, then what's true about your customers. Where your sector has its own rules and language, we can start from a sector version.
We gather from what you already have: PDFs, old pages, your CMS, decks, spreadsheets and the heads of a few senior people. We check each source against the others. Where two disagree, we take the difference to the fact's owner and write down the answer they agree.
Every fact is written in one agreed form, so it reads the same wherever it is used.
Expect this part to be slow in places. Some facts exist only in people's heads, and checking them takes the time of people who have little to spare. We need:
