Hearing from the people who matter

We talk in confidence to the leaders, staff, partners and others whose views carry weight in your organisation. You find out where they line up, where they pull in different directions and what they expect, before any strategy is written.

What it covers

Interviews with the people inside and around your organisation: leaders, staff, partners and others whose support you rely on. Where it helps, we bring people together in a workshop to test what the interviews raised.

The result is an honest picture of where views agree, where they conflict and what people expect from you next.

How we work

We agree the list of people with you, so the views we hear cover the whole organisation. Interviews are held in confidence and quotes are anonymised, so people can speak openly.

We read across every conversation to find the themes, including the tensions. Those themes feed straight into the strategy work that follows.

What we need from you

The hard part is diaries. The people we most need to hear from are usually the busiest, and their time is the scarcest thing on the project.

  • A sponsor who can open doors and make decisions between meetings
  • Time from senior people for interviews, and for a workshop if we run one
  • Introductions to partners and others outside the organisation
