Go-to-market roadmap

A plan for reaching your market

A plan in phases for reaching the people who matter to you: who comes first, through which channels and with what message. Each phase has its own goals, so you can tell what is working and adjust before the next one starts.

What's in it

The plan is split into phases. For each one it sets out:

  • the audience you are reaching
  • the channels you will use and the message for each
  • the goals that show whether the phase worked

The order matters as much as the content, so launches, campaigns and sales activity build on each other.

How it's made

It is the output of go-to-market strategy. We start from what the audits and research found, in particular the content audit and what your audiences told us, then agree the audiences, messages, channels and sequence with your team.

How you use it

It tells your marketing and sales teams what to work on now and what comes later. When someone asks why a campaign is waiting, the roadmap has the answer.

It leads on to how you grow: the content, search and targeted campaigns that put the plan in front of people. Campaign reports show how each phase did, and you adjust the roadmap as results come in.
