Following a very successful launch of a new brand for Harvard MCB, Hex was approached to develop a new identity and digital platform for The Department of Molecular Biology at Massachusetts General Hospital.

In homage in the microscope - a device that enables ground-breaking work - we crafted an identity that balanced vivid microscopic imagery with clean, technical layouts and bold, uncompromising typography. All existing content was audited and pared back to a search-led taxonomy. Now it's far easier for prospective students to find key information on a site that mirrors the incredible research being conducted at the department.
