Force Quit Shortcut
(CTRL + ALT + DELETE for Mac)

Now, Mac crashes are rare, but they do occur. If anything, third party software may crash.

Once the flashbacks of Windows have subsided and you’ve recovered from the initial shock of a genuine problem occurring, you may need to close the culprit program that has stopped responding.

If you can’t access the Apple menu, then here’s a quick tip for all you mac users out there…

Cmd + Alt + Esc

(So press the Apple Command Key, the Alt [options key] and the Escape key [top left] simultaneously*)

It is effectively the equivalent of hitting ‘Ctrl + Alt + Delete’ on a Windows machine and allows you to access the Force Quit Applications panel.

We hope you find this useful!

*Hint for computer novices: When executing keyboard shortcuts involving multiple keys, it’s worth holding down the first two keys one at a time then tapping the last key. If you try and press them all simultaneously in one go, you will probably miss one!
